I will give up the pre-ground coffees forever. In the last year, the "cysts" have continued to get worse! It tasted great. A large number of consumers believe this is the best coffee they have had and no other brand can be compared to it. I have always drank Maxwell house coffee but lately its tasted real weak. Anyone reading comments here should know not to buy these products-no telling whats in those grounds. I too have noticed over the past few months a change in the maxwell house coffee. Thank you for opening our eyes. It's good to the last drop again these days! We switched when prices went up. Well recently we restocked and the "new" cans are horrible. I am looking for a different brand that used to be like the good taste of MH. We drank Maxwell house master blend for years, & loved it!! So it could have been the coffee, but I doubt it. It is still 100 percent Arabica, and it is priced accordingly, but delicious. I also thought it was just me. My wife and I rarely buy coffee such as M.H but we were out of coffee and desprate so we bought some. For along time it hasn't smelled or tasted like coffee. They smell different to me too. but i used some today and feel very ill again. Might switch back to another off brand or get some beans and just grind them. Second, that feeling like a Daycare of hyper Kids are jumping around in my Stomach until I feel Nausea and my insides are gurgling like someone down there is pissed at me. I've never seen this before in any other product. I had my skin peel and break out in blisters, that hurt so bad. I am shocked at the heartburn relief.
